Can part of a prop be erased?

Hello!

I recently downloaded a lighter prop, it's in .obj format... I loaded it on my Daz 4.9 and two lighters come up, two lighters which are connected, one opened and on closed. Is there a way to erase the left lighter? I only need the open one! As always! Thanx for the info! Couldn't get anything done without this forum!

    You can use the Geometry Editor tool to select and delete polygons from the object.

    It sounds as though the open lighter could be a morph. In other words, the lighter is closed, and the morph opens it.

    If you can separate them and export one, it could be imported as a morph.
