Spectral Rendering Problems

I am now doing my first serious spectral render and I note that it is slower, however there is a bigger problem, using the Bryden MAT I can clearly see a join where the face mat joins the torso mat at the front of the neck. This is not visible using non spectral rendering. There appears to be a different shading of the gens as well. Note that I have changed the shading of the skin & genital MATS, with Base, Translucency, SSS Reflectance, and Transmitted Colour set to 0.99  1.00  1.00 so as to get a pale skin. I have checked to see that all of the maps have loaded correctly and that all setting are identical.

I am using Iray HDR outdoor environments Maui lighting.

I have loaded 2 separate chacters to confirm this problem, I had done a lot of work on the first, but the second was simply loaded in one hit from - Genesis 3 Male; Characters; Brayden Actor, then made the colour changes noted above. Nothing else was touched.

Not sure what you have going on there but I had yesterday when I moved a character that I merged inthe the Alsace product not too far from it's origin (0,0,0) to (-33, 66, 0) the eye textures, iris, sclera, pupils, and so on turned white so I had to reapply a new set of eye texture materials from the DAZ Library.

Interesting, however I think it is not a comparable situation. I think that spectral rendering is revealing stuff that would be invisble, or at least nearly so, in non spectral. To my mind not surprising, but possibly a problem for some of those creating & selling stuff here.
