it looks like a combination of these two hair products.

Speaking of Kelpie (and her boyfriend), can anyone remember the trick used to fix the automatic D|S morphs that distort the hair around and over big pointy ears? I remember someone worked out a way to do it a few months ago, but I can't remember what it was, or where to find it. I don't have either of those two hairs, and of the ones I do have, even the Elven Hair messes up a bit.
I'd like to know that trick too. So far the few elves I've done have wound up being bald.
It's about the morphs on the ears and whether they have auto-follow enabled. Auto-follow is bad, when it comes to ears. So.
1. Go to the ear morph by selecting the head, going to the shaping tab, and choosing "currently used." With luck you'll see your active ear morph in there someplace! Or browse to actor/head/ears and see if it's there.
2. Click the parameter gear icon on the morph slider - on the upper right of the morph slider
3. One of the parameters should be "auto follow." Uncheck it.
Well, that does help a bit — thanks for the reminder. Problem is, Kelpie (and presumably Kobold) use a couple dozenteen shaping morphs, and after turning off autofollow on all the ones I can find that might be relevant, I still see the hair swirling out around the ears.
Drat, it's not just the ears, I see some hair models glitching a bit around the eyes as well.
Once you buy a morph set that uses multiple morphs, you can export the whole thing as a wavefront obj, zero the figure, and use morph powerloader (in ds5 pro) to load up the OBJ as a new, single morph. It can't be distributed but you can use it yourself instead of the original one and get the same result with a single dial...nice for mixing and also would probably make it easy to turn off the ears-autofollowing.
I don't think that is what is being used, but I appreciate the suggestions.
Anyone else have any ideas? I didn't expect this to be a hard question. Silly me assumed someone would post with the exact answer about five seconds after I started my thread.
My first thought was Cindy Short Hair, but if it is, it must be mirrored:

Select the hair.
Go to Currently Used in the Parameters tab.
In the tab menu, turn on "Show Hidden Properties".
Find the morphs that are causing the problem and zero them.

Okay so I did contact the vendor and this is what she had to say "it was Hermes Hair (by 3Dream and Mairy) with a color expansion pack that I did (To Dye For - Hermes, available here at Rendo)."
<headdesk>
Drat, I thought I was doing something wrong not seeing the autofollowed morphs on the hair itself. Turns out I was...
(Double-drat, the externally hosted smilies are defunct.)

Holy smokes! I never would have thought of that. How very kind of you to contact the vendor. Thank you very very much!
