A UV converter tool.

I really enjoy all of the new characters that daz is coming out with (most anyways). The problem is that alot of times many of the products released cant compensate for all the different UV's. So I end up with makeup packs, textures, etc. that can only be used with specific characters.
I would like a converter that allows uv specific products to correctly accept uv's it wasnt intended for. I dont know how technically feasable this is but it dosent hurt to ask.

I'm not 100% sure I know what you mean, but wouldn't these do the trick? http://www.daz3d.com/cayman-studios
No, I dont think I explained it very well in my initial post. Say for example you purchase a product which is a makeup pack for G3F/V7. Cool, but you cant then use the pack for say Gia or any other UV because it simply wasnt designed for that uv. The mystical, magical convertor that I am asking for would convert(?) the makeup pack for Gia, Rune, whoever so that it could be used with those uv's.
Maybe convertor is the wrong word. Maybe a uv adapter is a more appropriate description.
In many cases you can apply the makeup or whatever, if it's an overlay, to a Geoemtry Shell on the figure set to use the uv set (very few add-ons use the non-standard UV set) with the overlay mask used in opacity. That won't work for everything, but it will cover many situations.
Richard, by overlay, do you mean something like a LIE based layer?
Yes.
There is also the map transfer tool that allows for rewriting the maps for different UVs but it only works on ones that are close like Gia 6 to Genesis 2 Female but doesn't work for say Gia 6 to Genesis 3 Female.
You can also use Blender to bake maps of different UVs but it's a rather involved set of steps. There's a tutorial in the main forums for transferring Genesis 2 to Genesis 3 maps.
There is also a product called Blacksmith 3d which has texture converters for sale at Renderosity.
Do you know off hand where the map transfer tool is or what its called?
I have heard of Blacksmith 3d but I dont know anything about it. ill look it up.
The map transfer tool is built into DAZ Studio. You can access it by selecting the source object in the scene and then choosing Map Transfer... from the menu in the Surfaces tab.
Map Transfer requires that a dingle figure have both the source and destiantion UV sets. You could, if you had Victoria 5, use it to bake Victroia 4 maps to Victoria 5 and then apply those to Genesis 2 Female for example.
