unfocused camera

Have you ever tried parenting a camera to a Genesis 3 and then tried to use DOF? It goes way crazy with DOF and you can't get it to focus right at all. You cant even copy a new camera cause the same glitch is traphered to the new one. anyone else experience this? any way to fix it?

edit:Yes I've tried unparenting it. It still dosnet fix it. try it and see if it does the same thing to you. Parent a camera to a genesis 3, them move him/her around the scen to some place else and then try Depth of Field.

I do use this method quite a lot without problems.

However, there is a difference in how camera control behaves. If you move a camera, or an object with a camera parented to it, by means of the x,y,x controls or the viewport translate tool, the focus point also moves with the camera, so you have to adjust the focus setting. When you move the camera with the viewport camera controls, the focus point stays in place, and the focal distance is adjusted (all within limits of what is possible with the amount and  direction of the camera movement). Obviously you cannot use the viewport camera controls on a parented camera, that does mess things up.....

So when you move a parented camera, you have to adjust the focal distance
