Update bugs or is it my monitor screen?

I don't know if these are update bugs, but I've noticed the navigation cube and the other icons near it have started to be shunted off the screen to the right when I expand the tabs on the left hand side. Have also noticed that the renders are no longer what is shown on the screen, but are shunted off sideways. So it seems something has gone wrong. I wonder if Daz is not properly configured to the resolution of my monitor, or whether it is some bug with the update recently istalled.

  • Do you have any other tabs with the viewport? Shader mixer and shader builder have a tendency to cause the viewport control shift issue you mention. The other issue I'd have to see a screen shot, if you could post one, might be able to point a direction.

Yes, what's happening is that all tabs have a minimum width — and those two (shader mixer and shader builder) have very large minumum widths. Each docked tab group inherits the width of its widest member, so if you have either of them grouped with the Viewport, your tab group total width is likely to be wider than your actual monitor screen, forcing an overlap and causing Weird Stuff™ to happen. It's best to leave those tabs actually closed, not grouped under the Viewport, and only open them (undocked) with the toolbar icon when you need them; that's what I do.
