Have you tried WINE? https://www.linux.com/learn/how-install-and-use-wine-run-windows-applications-linux
I have never tried it myself.
wonder if it works with 32 bit machines
I have not tried it either.
"wonder if it works with 32 bit machines" Do you mean the physical computer or WINE itself?
Apparently 64bit WINE can run in 32bit mode by using a WINE prefix

I had Hexagon up and running under Wine with my previous distro before I trashed my distro. That was in Linux Mint 17. I don't remember any problems with Hexagon, but it's been awhile. I haven't gotten around to getting it installed again yet. I had it in a 32-bit bottle and I was never able to get it to talk to the 64-bit version of DS which was in its own Wine bottle. I don't know if there is a trick to getting different Wine bottles to talk to each other. I'm guessing that you'll have to install the 32-bit version of DS in the Wine bottle with Hexagon if you want to be able to move across the bridge. However, I never got that far so I don't know how well, if at all, the bridge between Hexagon and DS works in Linux. If you just want to use Hexagon without talking to DS then you probably won't have a problem getting it up and working.
Currently, my setup is Linux Mint 18 which is a Ubuntu offshoot. I have DS 64 bit running. Getting Hexagon working again on the new setup is something I have planned to do, but just haven't gotten around to doing yet. Just been real busy.
Need Linux version of Daz programs.
Completely agree!
