I think its cause I updated daz but any render that has black hair/eyelashes now renders semi white as if part of the texture is missing? Any idea how I can fix this?
This is what it looks like. Thing is it only shows up like this when I upload. When I view it in my photo album. The hair looks fine.

Looks like the lighting is a bit bright, possibly compounded (given the way the appearance varies by how you are viewing) by gamma correction or its absence.
Any idea how to fix it?
How is the scene lit? Are there any lights behind the hair?
Not to derail this conversation but I am trying to get streaks of grey into black hair that doesn't have streak options and this would be perfect. How did you do it?
One idea would be to modify the texture map.
None the scene is the basic scene you'd get when opening daz. Thing is this happens even when using a darker light prop or rendering with no background

Hm,
somehow I got the impression, your renders aren't iRay renders. They look pritty similar to the native screenshot of the workspace, if you please compare:

The left part is native workspace, right you see the render.
You're sure, its really iRay render?
I'm pretty sure there not Iray renders as I didn't like how they looked. I wanted the renders to be what it looked like I was working on in the native workspace.
I found out how to fix it and keep the same rendering type I used. I switched it from Basic Open GL to Intermediate Open GL
Takes a lot longer to render but now the hair is black again.
