I think it's really nice how, instead of trying to create a list of things Carrara can't do, you always explore what can be done and then show us the direct path on how you resolved that particular quandary. Thanks for that. I'm always somehow able to get Carrara to do what I want it to do for me as well. I'm very happy with it - and really appreciate watching this great show. Thanks Cripeman.

    oh yeah. back atcha man.

Carrara needs a little love these days.

Honestly. I'm like a lot of people here ... I'm concerned about Carrara's future.
And some occasional news would be great ...

But, why focus on the negative.

For today...now...we have a kick-ass prog that does TONS of cool stuff.

    Okay, first of all...
Thanks for the kind words, Cripeman. It is my pleasure to hype your generosity - because I love the lessons - they have taught me some great tactics and inspirations. You rock.

In this tutorial, I do have some questions - and I am currently blaming the oddity that my brain is going through - something I am hoping to pop out of and recover from - it's annoying. My long term memory seems fine, but someone could be talking to me - and I can be paying attention, and I'll lose the whole thing. Just strange! Written and video stuff doesn't seem to affect me like that... and it's not always like that - s maybe video does do it - but I don't realize it.

Anyways, when you first pop into the vertex modeller with that awesome figure, I miss how you get to the magnet (because I've never yet used a magnet in Carrara), nor do I catch how you switched to displacement (also never tried by me) nor did I catch how you were switching the manipulator behavior. So that's where I backed up to try and catch those things, three times. I'll continue with the rest, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out what you're doing in there. Could an easy explanation via this forum fix me on this?

Happy 500 subs! Now we need to shoot for 5,000! Then 537 bazillion!

    Edit:
Okay, saw how you got the manipulator changes. And to think that I used to pop in and out of preferrances to switch gimbal mode on and off... this is cool to know! Still haven't seen the magnet selection or displacement - but I'm not on my Carrara machine, so...

Yeah for some reason my cursor wasn't showing up....

The magnet is in the upper left hand corner ...

thanx for your kind words dude... starting to get all chip and dale in here

    LOL!!!
Okay... so once you select that little magnet, you're using a magnet? No inserting magnet or the like? Must play with this.

    Very cool!
Wow that really is a cool figure, isn't it?
One of these days, I want to just go in and buy the entire 3D Universe Toon Collection. Old and new - everything. Okay, I'd have to prioritize that a bit! lol But I really like the Toon characters he made for Genesis, too - and now Charlize for Gen2Fem. I like everything in his store!

Anyways... another great Cripeman tutorial! Thanks as always!

Very nice! Refreshing to see some Spline Modeling Love, beyond evilproducer's occasional rantings! :)

Sorry to hear about the computer issues :(

I, too, believe that we can do anything in Carrara, and hope that it lives forever!
Glad to see you up and running again!

Good to be back on guys.

@Ruphuss I don't do music out of sheer laziness. I'm really kind of impressed by a tutorial that has edits and production values.

@Dart Thanx brother. Good to be up.

@Phil I think that swoopy swoops were what they were originally called. :)
