Is anyone else having this problem? I just got my new computer today. It has 32 GB ram, Windows 10, I7 6700 processor. For some reason DAZ Iray sometimes ignores my gpu and forses me to render in cpu mode. I never has this problem with my old computer which had Windows 7 with 8GB of ram. I am using a GTX 970 which was also used in the old computer, and I am rendering the excact sdame scene but with different poses. In WIN7 with 8GB ram never had this problem at all, but with WIN 10 32 GB ram it's happening a lot.

Have you possibly left a previous render window open? That will hold onto some of the GPU memory until you save or close that render. Also, if you use the Iray viewport, it seems like sometimes that will not free up the memory it used either. If the internet browser is open with lots of tabs, those seem to grab GPU memory for me, too (Firefox). Try closing Daz Studio and reopening it. Load your scene and render without doing anything else. Have you downloaded GPU-Z to monitor your GPU usage? It is a handy tool to see what is going on.
