Graphic Card Question

I am going to have to break down and buy a new computer today or tomorrow. I have a question for those who have produced content primarily. What is your experience with different GPUs? I currently have a GTX 980 with 4GB. I am currently looking to get something with a GTX 1080 or Titan X. I am also considering the Quadro Series. I am hoping to get a computer with at least 32 GB of Ram.
For creating content, what is your opinion and why.
I currently use Blender3D, 3DCoat, and Subtance Painter and Designer..
Any opinion on this would be appreciated.
Thank you.

No idea of the capabilities of nay of those bits of software, so my main questionwoudl be: will you be using any software that can actually make use of the GPUs in any part of the process, such as Daz Studio and Iray? If so then how much VRAM do tend to need before the card dropsback to using CPUs. I went a bit 'silly' and with my new beast got a 1050 to drive the display and a Titan X for helping out with Iray, etc. Over the top for rmy needs, but ...
I would really like to have at least 8GB of VRAM. I am willing to pay the extra for the Titan X or Quadro if I can find out it is worth it.
The trouble I am having is that almost all the benchmarks I find are from a gaming not a 3d modeling perspective.
Substance will use the video card, as it also includes an Iray option...the Titan X and Quadros are a bit of overkill...
Thank you. I do not mind a little overkill now and then. I am looking at dozens of benchmarks and it would seem that the GTX 1080 kicks the Titan X's butt in everything that is measured. My only concern is the Ram. My GTX 980 4GB is not functioning properly and even when it was it would not be able to handle much of what I am doing now so I want to be sure that 8GB will be enough. Those of you using the GTX 1080 now for modeling and Daz , are you having any problems with it?
Anyone having issues with the GTX 1080 kicking it back to the CPU?
