Is there a way to display a figure as hollow? For example looking down on the figure the head and body would appear as hollow inside.
Opacity is controlled in the Materials dialogue in Bryce, or the Surfaces pane in DAZ Studio. To make a figure hollow, you'd need a transparency map to make out the part you wanted to hide or, in DS, you could use the Polygon Group Editor to create a new material zones and make it transparent - however, neither of these would given any thickness.
Select the figure in the Scene pane, and then adjust the Opacity slider in the Surfaces pane (DS)
To make a figure look hollow as you suggest, would depend on the surface groups and the geometry of the item. I can't see a way to do that easily.
Not sure if this is what you mean, but the pwEffect shader has a great phantom preset which ensures you don't get things like the teeth and eyes visible through the skin. It's ideal for making translucent characters. Here's an example I whipped up in about 2 minutes. It's quite a striking effect.
I actually bought PW for exactly this purpose but am not able to get these kinds of effects so I was going to plan B. Perhaps someone could help me with this.
The effect isn't going to show in the preview...just the final render.

With some surfaces you might need to hold CTRL when applying them in Daz and choose 'all' instead of 'selected' in the dialog which appears. Not often, I digress, but it happens occasionally.
Other non phantom objects will be visible behind the spectre, but any other 'ghosts' or similar transparent objects will not be. If you need help with specific instances, feel free to either reply or send me a PM with your query and I'll do my best to help.
Where are the video tutorials on how to use DS4 to animate?

Thanks.
When I select an aniBlock and try to drag it to the time line it only responds about 20% or less of the time. How can I get it to respond 100%?
The breast are poking through in m,y animated characters sing aniBlocks. Since I am not doing porno animations :-), how to I handle poke through in animation?
Regarding poke-through make sure everything is fit to properly. It shouldn't poke through. If all else fails, add positive displacement (both min and max must be positive). This will show only in software render though.
Regarding the aniblock, I'm not sure I understand the question, but I see the preview when I hover my mouse over the blocks when they are below the timeline. Those on the timeline don't seem to show in the preview unless I press Play. Hopefully that is the way it should be working.
