How do you load morphs onto Genesis 2 ?

Genesis 2 comes with DAZ Studio, I got the full body and face morphs for Genesis 2 Female... I cant seem to figure out how to load them on the Gensis 2 female so i can shape her into my desired character ...

Please help

Thanks.

Select the g2f model in the scene

Then in either the Parameters tab or the Shaping tab you can find the various shapes (morphs). The morphs aren't really 'loaded', they are present from the moment you installed the morph packs (provided of course they are installed correctly).

Thank you found them, on the left tool panel, since I was looking for the morphs in parameters and content library.Found them in my latest 64 bit vision of the software, but not my old DAZ Studio 32 bit version, which has a better GUI design than the latest 64 bit version. At least they are there and work in the main 64 bit program.

  • OK I am having a problem here, not all of them are loading. I bought it , installed it through the Install manager, they are installed, somehow DAZ studio does not load them into shaping tab ...

    Your welcome ...

Genesis works different in this aspect then, for instance, V4 or M4. With V4/M4 you have to 'inject' the morphs into the figure. With genesis you don't need to do that.....and as such no inject or other files are needed/included.  The same goes if you load genesis or genesis2 into Poser with the use of the DSON plug-in for poser (I think its poser 9 and up). No injection needed, the dials are ready to use...

    Ok, can't replicate the problem.

if you select genesis 2 female (the whole figure, and not the head or - as in your image - the right thigh) and then in the paramterts tab search, for example, 'pinch' - one of the nose morphs, do they show up in the search results?

Your results may differ from mine, as I do have some additional morphs installed...

As to DSON, it can be finicky, so it maybe hard to tell what may have gone wrong..... talking from experience, though it seems to behave now on my system.....

  • O.k That works, I can manage with that ^_^

I get this... I have uninstalled it, and reinstalled it again... no joy.... which is why I thought I would design the character in DAZ studio, and when it is done, export it as a CR2, and that works

DSON is for use with poser 9 and up. It (genesis) needs the weightmapping function of the newer poser version(s). That explains the problem, unfortunately.

Still trying to figure out why the morphs don't show in the shaping tab, but alas, no bright moment yet......

  • I even installed DAZ studio and all my purchased content on my Mac partition, and DSON still does not work... It not work in windows or OSX... so best thing is build char in DAZ studio, and then export it as a CRT poser figure file. Uninstalled DAZ  studio on my Mac partition after trying since I need to preserve space on my drive for drafting.

Judging on your screenshots, you're using Poser5. DSON needs Poser9 or up, and as such wil not work with Poser5. (And DSON itself doesn't need DS; it is strictly a Poser plugin that, alas, will not work for you with P5.)
