I have Daz3d ver 4.5 and Genesis Starter Essentials 1.6. Problem is when I start Daz, the Genesis figure is distorted. It appears there are some morphs embedded in the file. I reloaded Starter Essentials but get the same result. I can zero the figure and then I get the original Genesis figure but cannot figure out how to correct the problem on initial startup of Daz. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Looks like you have installed some free Morphs that haven't been set up properly or you saved over the Genesis base file.
If it is free morphs doing this then remove them.
If not then the chances are you saved over the base file which it easy to fix....Zero the figure so it goes back to the default shape and save that over that base file called Genesis.duf
Yes. Some of them are set at a value of one on default. Click on Genesis and go to parameters and click on "currently used" and see what morphs are populated. Normally the morphs with any value should appear there. Then all you do is find them under data, either set their value to zero or delete them. Or as mentioned, zero figure shape. But this will always happen everytime you load a new Genesis unless you modify the morph settings that are dialled up.
Had the same problem - the morphs are free from Renderosity, offered as "Victoria 5.1" from Marcius Hess. Removing his files under DATA and PEOPLE (just look up in the zip...) resolved the problem for me. Thanx ZevO for the good hint.
Ick, I remember those... deleted them five minutes after I installed them...
