Can the transfer utility be forced to ignore bones?

I'm trying to get the A3 Lily dress to work with Genesis but the transfer utility keeps converting the loincloth area into legs. This causes the loincloth to distort and stretch on anything but the basic pose.
Is there a way I can get the transfer utility to ignore the loincloth bones when converting the dress? They're not part of the legs on the original dress (they're called fhip1 through fhip4 and bhip1 through bhip4) but after the conversion they are all reduced to right and left thigh and right and left shin.
