    RoboCheesecake
Done using the tip to transfer the metal shader to other surfaces.

Beautiful work. I'm going to have to try the shader transfer tip... :sighs: kind of wish shaders had been included in the package!

I have a question about the Shader Mixer export process. When I am to select the Material Surface I wish to copy, which surface are people using? I assume it is one of the bot textures, but do you choose an arm, a leg, the chest, or head? And is this surface selected before or after it is applied to the body... From the content tab, or by clicking on the limb? I apologize for this question, as I'm having trouble acheiving the nice look others are.

I then navigate to the location of the part (for example a hair, and then apply, correct? For some reason... I am not getting it.

    Thanks for your help.

I used 'Bot Metal' selected from one of the limbs. I followed the method exactly as described in the thread linked to above.

Both the item with the donor texture and the item to be textured should be in the scene.

    1. Using either the Surfaces tab or the Surface Selection Tool, select the surface you want to copy from. I've had good results using a leg.
    2. In the Shader Mixer tab, select File>Import From Scene.
    3. Using either the Surfaces tab or the Surface Selection Tool, select the surface(s) you want to apply the shader to.
    4. In the Shader Mixer tab, click the Apply button.

Thanks Murgatroyd and Willowfan! I have succeeded in metalicizing the hair, and Mil CAT! Looks kind of cool. Thanks again!

Thank you all for your inspiring tips and ideas how to use the bot.

I managed to also wrap my head around the different material zones and how they work together and will be happy to experiment around with it more.

The timing of the Metalized Glass Shaders for DAZ Studio was awesome. Found some great shader options in that bundle that gave some interesting looks.

    ..nice.

If it weren't for the robo joints, he'd make a great Colossus from the X-Men.

Did you mean something like this?
