Can I use Genesis 3 clothes on a Genesis 2 character?

I'm working on an animation series with a bunch of different characters. When I was looking for clothes for my characters I realised that most of the outfits I liked were for genesis 3 characters. Is there any way I can get my genesis 2 characters to wear clothes made for genesis 3? Feed

and the cheap (free)  somewhat dodgier way is to use the hidden clone shapes for Genesis 2 on genesis 3, convert the clothes to props then fit them with the transfer utility

These are great products and I use them quite a bit. Here's a G2M with the G3M Legends Outfit on. Fits very well!
