Probably the closest is http://www.daz3d.com/old-world-knight-for-genesis-2-males
Just more armor with male Breastplates, I love a beautifal amazon as much as anyone, but sometimes you want to depict her mate/adversary.
The OP might like http://www.daz3d.com/armor-of-god-for-m4 if you have the v4/m4 package for Gen2
This is something that I can look into doing once I've got the slightly futuristic military outfits I'm working on done enough to submit for testing.
Iff you want to convert armor for older figures, you might consider these sets:

These are the only fully realistic plate armor I know of for DAZ characters. You would have to convert to Genesis, then to G2 or G3 from there. At least they are cheap if you are a PC+ member.
Daywalker03, if you could make something as realistic as these, or the Old World Knight for G2M but with plates for the arms and elbows, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Especially if you made both G3M and G3F versions.
Zylox, I do most of my prototyping of outfits using G3F and often end up using Cross-Figure to make them compatible with G3M, so there is a good chance there will be Medieval Armour for both genders that actually looks like what would have been used in those days.
Genesis cavalier is pretty similar - http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-cavalier
another genesis full plate: http://www.daz3d.com/battle-armour-for-genesis
and this one is G3 male, though not quite the full plate requested:

And this also for G3M but no helm: http://www.daz3d.com/chevalier-armor-for-genesis-3-male-s
While many of the armors on Daz and Renderosity are nice, few if any are actually historically accurate. i really wish someone would read Tobias Capwell's book on English armors, for example, or something similar, and make plate armors that would have actually existed. I'm trying my best not to be a killjoy, but as a student of medieval arms and armor and HEMA practitioner, there's precious little out there that's really true to history.

I'm with you Bob,
I'm an animator/filmmaker through and through, and right now the industry prefers realism, especially in animation. Most especially if you're trying to make it appear real. Daz Studio is an excellent resource for making realistic works, as well as cartoon ones, and having realistic/practical outfits would benefit animators like myself to no end.
As a lone wolf, I can't model everything I work with (as much as i would love to) just from a time standpoint. I have modelling experience, and it's fun, but I don't have time for it if i'm trying to get to actual production in a timely manner. Sob story aside, it would be amazing to see modellers stop focusing on "sexy females" and start actually creating usable content.
