I finished my first one. How lucky can a person get with the randomizer? I got a wagon and an animal to pull it. I got M4 clothes and M4 poses. This was almost too easy, so I added a bunch of other stuff just for fun!

Parkside Poses (on two M4s on the ground)
    Millennium Horse Unicorn
Streetwear Fashion (on all three M4s, luckily it has two textures to mix and match)
    Romany Comfort

    Also used:
    UR Trails environment
    Elite skin texture Jeremy
    Elite skint texture Lee
    Michael 4 Standard Res skin
    Jai hair
    Royal Prince Hair
    Goya Hair
    Fantasy Unicorn morph and texture
    Vintage Sleigh harness and reins
Bangles from Summer Dress for Genesis
Gold shader from Ultimate Shader Pack (ShareCG)
Crown Glass Red shader from Metalized Glass shaders

    Added just for fun:
    Morphing python
    DAZ Squirrel
    Songbirds
Broken bottles and paper from The Garbage Dump
    Rubble from Ruined Cottage (ShareCG)
Dirt from Lisa's Botanicals Cottage Plants
    Rocks from Tropical Elements
Fir cones from TurboSquid 2012 Advent giveaway (free until 1/31)
Large coin and crumpled receipt from Pocket Filler
J&B Barrel from Steam Truck Red Bizon

Can you spot all that stuff? The crumpled receipt is so small, even I can barely see it.

Just looking through the early entries:

Ken OBanion "You are cordially invited.." - you're off to a great start already. I like the colours and the lighting here. How do you transfer your composed scene from Poser to DS - pz3? I don't use Poser, so not sure how you'd do that (nor why? :) )

and "... One Of Those Mornings..." - and there was I playing "spot the buck!" - but seriously that's a nice idea for a weird mixture - and I like the water, is it out-of-the-box or roll-your-own?

Thank you, MelanieL! I appreciate your comments.

As for your question about Poser and DAZ Studio, and transferring content, well, I'll start with the 'Why?'. I've been using Poser since version 6 (I think I got it in, like, 2005, or so). It's familiar, and I'm comfortable with it. I prefer to use it to clothe, morph and pose my individual figures - Poser's Face, Left- and Right-hand, and Posing cameras are a God-send in that activity, and DAZ Studio has nothing like them! Then, I set up my scene and props, and use Poser's 'File->Import...' menu option to assemble the cast! It's a routine that I'm familiar with, and it works for me.

But sometimes, the Gods of Random throw you a curve - they include an item that only works in DAZ Studio. (Light-sets were discussed previously, and there's also that whole Genesis can of worms.) But I have all this pre-built Poser content, that I want - and occasionally, need - to use in DS - and I definitely do not want to rebuild them all from scratch!

Well, DS has the same functionality, a 'File->Import...' option, which just so happens to default to importing a Poser scene file. So, I can use all of the characters I've built in Poser over the years, in DAZ Studio! Best of both worlds! (Example: the Luke and Laura characters in 'One of Those Mornings...', wearing their 'In School' textures, were recycled from an earlier RRRR - the 'Back to School' edition, to be exact; and the mermaid was originally created for my very first RRRR! In fact, the only thing that was original to that particular image was the damn deer - that I forgot to include!)

Oh, and the water? Straight out of the box; didn't tweak a thing!

32 Creatura The Harpy for V4
    72 Herdbeast
    96 M3 Long Beard
    163 Stellar Fury

Alright I got one done. I had to throw out my first idea and go back to the drawing board. It was just too boring. Don't know if this one's much better or not, but it moves me forward.

I tried to use the motion render technique to show the merry go round in motion. I'm not sure if the effect works well or if I should try to find a tutorial. Anyhow, that would be next time.

    also used:
    Poser Outerzone's Satyress
    Wancow's sarong
    Luthbel's Sagytarios
Daz M3 wearing M3 tunic, pants, and boots

MelanieL #1 - Wow, nice one! As Ken said, you are really good with the Italian Renaissance ambiance,
Ken OBanion #1 - Very nice funny creepy one. (Your good at that.) I love your light and colors and the Egyptions lurking in the shadowy area.
Totte #1 Haha. The guy looks horrified. She must have an interesting anatomy! ;-)
    Thanks, Jaderail, for your support!
Ken OBanion #2 Hmmm, strange this guy worries about a mermaid when he has deer wandering into his bedroom. %-P
Sedor #1 Beutiful girl and light - you always do that so well. She looks like she might use that weapon on anyone who laughs at her flowery dress.
barbult #1 Looks like unicorn and driver are not amused. You had a really strange pull. Great job!
Zawarkal# 01 I love it!!!! It is so bizzare! Great poses and figures. I especially love Michael on the Herbeast with his hands up.

    My next pull:
    Cliffhanger
    Tavern maid
    Old West Undertakers
    Bad Guy for M4

I think I know exactly what I want to do with this....

    Here is my second draw:
    Zenya
    Old Village Wishing Well
    Old West Undertakers Interior
    Mini Sub Triton

Not much commonality among these, at least at first glance. This will take some thought... But I guess if Ken can combine a buck and a mermaid, anything can be done! I see Sasje got a well, too, but this is a different one.

    772 - Hair Care Products

Another catch-up (when I really should be working on my next entry!)
Luci45 "NeverWork" - another super render there, great work!
(And thanks for your comments on my first.)
Zawarkal "The Merry Go Round of Life" - that's very imaginative! I was watching TV earlier and the signal kept dropping - now I know why (I thought it was just the heavy cloud cover tonight)!
gopherus "Gifts of the Magi" - I think he'll regret that - she looks loud!
Sasje "The echo well" - interesting pull: and you've pulled it off - I like the kids poses, especially the boy at the handle.
Ken OBanion "Girls Night Out" - another good one, Ken.
Oh, and thanks for your lengthy reply to my previous comment. I was really wondering what the benefit of using DS rather than Poser for that particular render might be (like I said, I don't know Poser) when none of the items listed seemed to require it - I'm just being nosey I suppose! Anyway it turned out nicely.

    MelanieL -

Yeah, I suppose I got some 'splainin' to do, don't I....

The simple truth is that I wanted to use a light-set for the Temple of the Pharaohs set-piece (Dreamlight's Dark Temple). So I pulled the whole scene into DS, for the express purpose of using that particular light-set. Unfortunately, it didn't work quite the way I wanted it to (actually, it never came close!), and after hours of tweaking and fiddling, I just couldn't get it to do what I wanted it to do, so I finally abandoned the idea. I ended up doing my own lighting, and frankly, I think the result was better than anything the Dreamlight light-set would have produced.

But, to compensate for the lighting fiasco, I figured - hey, I'm in DS anyway, so let's throw Anubis into the mix! And that's why he's there.

    Hey, live and learn!

Well, if the bulk of your content comes from DAZ, then probably the most painless way of getting an inventory would be to use Taozen's DAZ History Manager (you can find it here: http://taosoft.dk/software/daztools/). It will produce a CSV (comma-separated values) file, which you can save as a spreadsheet in - oh, just off the top of my head - Excel. (Not a plug! I repeat: NOT A PLUG!)

Failing that, you'd probably have to page through your Itemized Order History (from your Account Dashboard page), and copy and paste each page into a spreadsheet in that program I definitely am NOT plugging.

I've been told that you can do something similar with Renderosity purchases (I wouldn't know; I've only bought a handful of products from Rendo, and even fewer from RDNA).

As for the multitude of free stuff available on the 'Net (of which I have accumulated several crap-loads ;-P ), I'm afraid you - and all of the rest of us, for that matter - are pretty much on your own.

Good luck, and welcome to the party!

    @guardian angel 671

For what it s worth, I don t have a spreadsheet program.

Most of my models are from DAZ so I go to my Itemized Order History
Write down the number of items at the top
Then use a random number generator
    http://www.randomnumbergenerator.com/
write in the maximum number from the itemized history
and hit More Random Numbers 4 times

go back to the itemized history and look up those numbered items
it s fast if you have your items listed in blocks of 10
then item #45 for example is the fifth one down on page 5
if i ve drawn a piece of software or something not usable i redraw a new random number
anything i ve gotten elsewhere can be used in any pic after you ve pulled the 4 random items

    again good luck!
