Whenever asking for assistance with a technical problem, it is always important to provide as much information as possible to those that you hope will assist you. At this point we only know your screen is flickering in DAZ Studio. If this were a common problem we might be able to assist you based upon that information alone, but that is not the case. So, a few pertinent questions:

    1. What operating system are you using?

    2. What version of DAZ Studio?

    3. Is your screen flickering in any other application that you use?

    4. What video card are you using?

The problem might be software-related or hardware-related. The only way to narrow it down is to approach the issue in a systematic way. Avoid the "re-install everything" advice that seems so prevalent. There may be times when a re-install might be necessary, but that should be a last resort at best, not the first thing you should do.

Please provide the requested information and we can take it from there.

Sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner lasagnaman, but I was off wrestling with a settop box. OK, the fact that the flickering occurs in other applications as well is a sure sign that the problem does not rest with the applications themselves, or at least not directly. More questions, I'm afraid.

    1. Do you have all the most updated drivers installed for your notebook, especially for the 870M?

    2. Does the flickering occur both when you are running on battery power, and plugged in with the power adapter?

I get this same problem on PC without nVidia or AMD video card and I think it's related to DAZ Studio reloading files from disk and the disk has gone to sleep.
