Help, trying to understand how the Orientation value of a joint works.

I try to understand how joint values work (rotation order, Center Point, End Point, Orientation) and I tried out different things.
I made a joint1 with the rotation order YXZ at 0/0/0 and set manually an Orientation value of 5/10/-15.
I made a child to joint1, called joint2 with the rotation order YXZ at 0/0/0 and rotated the joint via sliders (X=5, Y=10, Z=-15).
Now I expected, that both joint axis are aligned, but strange enough they differ slightly. I have no idea why and I'd love it when someone has an explanation.
I'd like to understand this, because I wanted to know, which rotation order is used for the Orientation. As it is an offset around the three axis, I expected a similar result, or is the Orientation always an offset from the world axis?
I need to understand the concept to get Genesis 3 working in another software like Cinema 4D. Thanks a lot in advance.
