I try to import them and they ask for an obj file. I search for it and it doesn't seem to exist. Where are they?

You will need to give a little more information. what product, etc
products- ok Privateer, Casual camo for m3 everydaywear
That sounds as though it is a texture set for a clothing item, DO you own the necessary clothing item, the m3 everydaywear.
I'm going to assume not, since I don't know what that is. Crap. Is there a way to put that texture on a poser prop? (I'm using poser 7, btw)
No. Textures made for one particular product will only fit onto that product.
A .pp2 file is usually a stand alone prop.
If you open it with notepad, near the top it should be calling for the .obj file. That will show the path to follow in your folders to find it ... or at least to know what to look for in the Geometries folder to point it at.
I don't have that particular add-on, but 'sometimes' the pathways require a little help as over the years the programs' folder structures have changed.
I am having a similar problem. I down loaded the free model DystopiaBlocksOneTenL WO_1.1 for my mac. Now it says that it contains an .obj and jpg maps. But when I unzip it I get this file that won't open anywhere.:
DystopiaBlocksOneTenLWO_1.1_dpc.app
How to I get inside this file to all the stuff that's suppose to be here.
Thanks.
The DystopiaBlocksOneTenLWO_1.1_dpc.app is the Mac installer, you need to run that to install.
We are not certain if this is one of the older mac installers or not.
older one, but the problem was it was actually looking for an obz file, but carrara asks for an obj file.
The Dystopia city blocks come in two versions, designated for poser, or for lightwave which is a completely different program.
check the creator's page to see the differences. LWO references Lightwave

the everyday wear is linked right on the casual-camo page as a required product.
