Dynamic Clothing app - tab missing

Im starting this thread with basic information.  I am running MacOS 10.12.3.  I know there are issues with OS 10.7.  My version of Daz Studio Pro is 4.9.0.63.  I purchased this app and it worked prior to the 10.7.  Are there any plans to make this updated for the 10.12.3 or above?

Not sure if it's related but the Dynamic Clothing tab doesn't appear in my "Panes(tabs)" library at all anymore.  And no amount of reinstalling can make it appear (I tried a manual install but it wont allow me to dictate where the flies are going so I am at the installer's mercy).

I would really like to have my dynamic clothing usable again.  Can anyone please assist?  I hadn't been doing artwork for a while so I wasn't up to date on many previously reported problems.  I'm also back on the DS learning curve.  Long time not using the app and I find myself back at square one.

Thanks for any info on this.

Are you reinstalling manually, or using the DIM Installation Manager? One gotcha about the Dynamics plugin is that it gets updated with every update to the DAZ|Studio program; the last two numbers of the version number must be the same — so you must update both at the same time. Note that your D|S version isn't new, so if you're trying to install the new plugin version, it won't work.

If you look in Help>About Installed plug-ins that should tell you if there's a version mis-match or if you need to (re)enter your serial number.

I used both installers but I actually didn't realize that the versions numbers could be an issue.  I was trying to install the new plug-in without updating the program at the same time. I'll give that a shot.

There are 4 plug-ins that failed to load but none of them were the Dynamic one I don't think.

It's probably the one that mentions Optitex (the makers of the Dynamics plugin). Click on it and see what shows in the info pane below.

The disabled plug-ins are the Photoshop Bridge, part of the dynamic clothing, GoZ, and the actual control plug-in respectively.

I hadn't realized that I had the dynamic plugin already...never used it. Is there somewhere I can find a tutorial or how to use it?

I have tried once or twice and when I click the drape button it instantly shuts down Studio. Running compatiable versions of both the plug-in and Studio (XX.XX.3.166)

In day-to-day use the control plug-in is the same as the free, it's benefits are the wind generator, the ability to configure gravity, and the ability to adjust the fabric panel settings. So any tutorial is relevant, as far as draping clothes using the supplied settings goes. Obviously the main issue is the crash - do you get a crash report from DS, or does it go straight to the OS crash dialogue or even straight to desktop?

I figured it out. Studio was shutting down because I was attempting to drap with Iray setting turned on in my viewport window...must be too much for my card to handle. Seems to be working quite nicely now....even on Genesis (original) figures.

    Thanks Richard for the reply.

I am not seeing any way to configure gravity or adjust the fabric settings....how is this done?

The free version of the plugin has only two sub-tabs, giving basic control over the dynamics setup. The full paid plugin has four sub-tabs, and includes the extra controls for gravity, wind generator, separate parameter settings for each material in the cloth, etc.
