How to use "Instant Infinite Variety for Hair"

Is there an instruction manual or can someone give me some pointers on how to use "Instant Infinite Variety for Hair" ==> https://www.daz3d.com/instant-infinite-variety-for-hair ... I tried using it with over a dozen different hair products that I own but nothing appears to be happenig.
I select the hair, apply the texture that I want and ...... nothing. Is there more to it than that? Am I missing a step or two? Any advise would be greater appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I don't have it but I suspect it may require you to select the surfaces on the hair as well as the model itself - with layered hair that will probably be easiest in the Surfaces pane. By it's SKU it far predates Iray so it may not work fully with that, depending on what it does.
