Autofit Genesis 3 hair to Genesis 2

The auto-fit seems to cause the Blow and Shape presets and dials to not work at all when using

to fit, for example (but not the only one)

to a Genesis 2 Female. The general fit is decent but the morph presets and dials do not work at all. The product page for the female clone says it's for clothes but the autofit dialog has an option for hair.

Any suggestions to get the morphs and presets to work on the Genesis 3 hair? Is there a Gen 3 -> Gen 2 hair clone?

I don't think there's a hair clone, but often I find this works:

    1. Zero your character's pose.
    2. Load hair to the scene don't autofit
    3. Use the scale and other morph dials to fit the hair the best you can.
    4. When you're happy. Parent it to the head.

I did this here and put a G3M hair on M3 (Aragorn character on the left)

And a V4 hair on a V3 (Arwen character on the left):

What also helps is apply smoothing modifier on the hair, and set it's collision target to the figure. This will push out bits of the scalp that are clipping into the head, and other bits.

This is generally a good thing to try for any item that isn't autofitting well.

It well past time for DAZ to rethink how hair is fitted to figures.  Something like geo-graft where the hair can automatically adjust morphs and scaling but still retain its own bone hierarchy
