Transfer Utility problem

Hi, I am using DAZ 4 Pro on a Mac running OSX 10.7 and I can't get Transfer Utility to work: I can import a mesh OBJ but then if I want to transfer the bones and weight paint from, say, V4 it won't let me access V4 to do it.
I really need the Content creation tools to work and so far I have not got either Transfer Utility or Weight Map tools to work for me.
The plugins seem to be installed and working.
What's up?

    V4 isn't weight-mapped.

    Thanks, actually this question was answered in another thread I posted on a similar subject:
    the answer is to use a Genesis figure, which IS weight mapped.
