Correlation between disk speed and render time

If I move my 3d library to a solid state drive from my disk will it affect render time or will it affect working time?

Are renders memory intensive and if so can you assign more memory to the applications?

I have 4096mb gpu does the rendering use that resource?

It will affect time to load a scene but it won't affect render time

Hard drive access would only come into play over and above loading the scene resources if you do not have sufficient system memory to hold the scene data (assuming 3Delight, LuxRender/Reality or OctaneRender). Iray would be able to use your video RAM if the video card is a fairly recent nVidia card, otherwise it would use system RAM and CPU to render the image.
