How do you use the DimensionTheory HDR ProSets Yosemite packs?

I bought the HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack Two here on the site. I thought you would use it by simply double-clicking the preset and you're done, but...

When I double-click the environment prop, the dome appears to load as expected, because in Wire Texture Shaded mode I can see the trees in my viewport. But all Iray renders come out black as if the dome is occluding rather than providing light.

I've messed with all the Render Settings. Currently I have it set to render Dome and Scene, Finite Sphere, Draw Dome ON, and Visualize Finite Dome ON. I changed the Environment Map to one of the HDR images in the Yosemite directory under Runtime; and I've also tried setting it to None. None of my changes has any apparent affect whatsoever.

How do you make these things work in Iray?

I forgot to mention I'm using the latest DAZ Studio 4.9

These are sets for 3Delight, I ray does not use a modelled dome. You can use the HDR maps in Iray, but you need to manually assign them to the Environment map in Render Settings' Editor tab. If you load the 3delight version the maps will be in memory, so you can pick them from the list that appears when you click the little thumbnail next to the Environment Map slider.

Thanks! It looks like the preset loads a bunch of extra junk into the scene--the modelled dome you mentioned--and to see the HDR all I have to do is delete that stuff.

I know this is kind of old, but characters seem to float above the HDRI dome when there isn't a ground plane and it is difficult to get them to seem grounded. Is there a trick, tutorial or other tip on how to overcome this when working with an HDRI dome in IRAY?

    Got it. Ground position, manual.

I have that problem with a lot of HDRs. How did you fix it? I know 'move to floor', but haven't heard of a 'ground position' setting.

I'll take some screen shots and post tomorrow in this thread. It is further down in the options once you set up your dome in the Render settings tab/window.
