Hey guys, is it possible to turn a piece of geometry into a light, so for example, say I modelled a lightning bolt and I wanted to turn it into a bright light, how would I do that, is it possible.

If you are using DAZ Studio, the answer is yes. Look for Uber Area Lights in your content library: My Library/Lights/omnifreaker/
Yep, UberArea lights can do that. Szark has a very nice tutorial on them: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/14536/
