Hello everybody!
I have that problem: a carpet, draped on a round shape, and a part of it going on the ground, and so, flat... in other words, the same geometry on a cylinder, and a part going flat...
there is a repetitive pattern on the carpet... HOW to do, to get an uv map usable for the whome carpet, part round, part flat, with no deformation of the pattern???? thank you for helping!!

go into the vertex room, select all and open the uv tab and see how it fits, then relax it and drag bits around to make it fit how you wish.
