TWEEN Between Poses

I thought some kind of product that lets you pick two poses and then creates 'states' between them you control with a dial.

THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!

You can do it with animations so maybe you could use that system to create mid-state poses....

It could be done with a series of ERC links, though it would be fiddly - create a slider for each pose, use ERC Freeze to link sliders and psoes, create a new property set to 1 and a new property to tween, then use the Property Hiearchy to link one pose slider to the tweens lider and the other to the constant minus the tween slider.

If you know that much, I think you have just designed your first commercial release.
Welcome to the world of PAs.
Congratulations. I will be following you new product thread and celebrating its release.

I will be sure to mention my credit card and insta-buy status fer sure.

Any help I can offer in the way of support -  I'd be willing to send you snacks and a Pepsi (or any other high caffeine drink) to keep you going.

I'm not sure it would be a viable product - it would need to be created on the fly each time, you wouldn't want all of those ERC sliders permanently cluttering up the list.

Maybe you do that sub menu thing and only certain sliders, like

    1) Upper Torso

    2) lower torso

    3)Arms

    4)Legs

    5) head

usually appear and beneath those 5 are lot of lesser ones - probably ones, we wouldn't need to edit that often.

Or step back a bit and make 1 singular tween between the two, like standing poses (only) work well with standing poses....

Sitting with sitting..it'd be a limitation, true, but that would still open many doors beyond the current mixing and matching, which is still awesome.

Daz Studio has a functional tool called "Puppeteer" that can fill in the intermediary steps between poses,  used mostly for animation to build intermediary frames its can be used to create in between static poses too.    It's under Windows/Tabs  Works Great.

Another thought. If you create a pose in frame 1 and another in frame 30 (for example), then step frame by frame from one to the other, you should be able to find something in between that you like. You can then export that as a pose preset. Go back to frame 1 and apply the preset. This has the issue that you'll have to clear out your presets from time to time as they accumulate. Maybe this process can also be controlled behind the scenes by a script? Another opportunity for a PA, no charge ;)

Are there basic instructions available on how to use it? Just looking at it, I haven't been able to figure out anything.

I did a quick search on youtube,  there's a few tutorials there.   here's an example and theres a few more links in the right hand list

Basically you edit the yellow dots,  and then preview the motions between the dots and record if you want animation,  and save pose if you just want the static poses.
