Upgrading from GTX 970 to 1070/1080

I recently switched from a Dell tower XPS8300 (Intel i7 2.6K) to a Dell tower XPS 8910 (Intel i7 6700). I moved my existing GTX970 card across and was wondering whether it was worth replacing my graphics card with a GTX1070 or 1080. When using DAZ3D, would I notice any significant differences to render times? How would it fare on a 1070 or a 1080? A basic iray scene with a single G3 character that currently takes 15 minutes to render for example - what would I see on a 1070 or 1080 ?

Sorry if this seems a stupid question but my knowledge of the different graphics cards is limited.

Well, I used to work with 2X GTX980Ti and now I work with 2XGTX1080 and I've experienced an average of between 30%-40% rendering time reducing.

So, my guess would be that a change from a 970 to a 1080 could mean at least a 50% time reduction.
