Christina Hair problem.

I'm having trouble with Christina Hair.  I'm using Hailey, a Genesis 2 Female and the parting looks really bad.

I've changed the forehead depth and I've also tried changing the volume for the top and it still looks awful.

Please see the attachment - I'm only showing the hairline, as that is where the issue is.

Has anyone else had this issue, and what can I do to make it look better?

  • I've tried uploading an attachment to show what I mean, but for some reason, it just won't upload.

Where the parting is, you can see the curve of the model's bald head. It's weird.  Why doesn't the hair cover the entire head?  The hair is for Genesis 2 Female and Hailey is a Genesis 2 Female.

I just posted a similar question regarding another character and hair combination (mine was G3F). But, we are both experiencing the same general problem. Here's a snip to illustrate what I bet you are seeing.

In your case, I'd normally just scale the hair object or scale the characters head, and this tweak would be enough to make it look "okay". I don't know why it doesn't "just work".

Another tool I learned about for things like this is the Geometry Editor. It's like taking a Sawz-All to the hair model, and you just make certain parts not visible.

That's an untextured screen capture, it looks like. What are you seeing when you apply a texture to the hair and render the image?

If it's a recent OOT hair, like Jolina or Cailin, it may also have an "apply this first" icon in the materials that is needed to apply the transparency maps. That will hide the skull cap, among other things.

Christina Hair doesn't have the Apply First!.DUF that vwrangler pointed out to me to fix Rasta Tails Hair (a very new hair). However, I tried applying the Apply First!.DUF from Rasta Tails Hair to the Christina Hair on Hailey, and among the things it does is remove the hair band!

Attached are pictures of Hailey with Christina (Rendered) and the same picture (Rendered) after applying ApplyFirst!.DUF from Rasta Tails Hair. Not sure what other changes it makes.

Does there exist something like an Apply First!.DUF that only removes generic skull caps so that not every hair creator has to put it in their product?
