upgrading to Daz Studio 4.9

Hi, I've only just decided to upgrade from 4.8 to 4.9 so I downloaded and installed via DIM and it all seemed to install ok, but when I start the program all I get is the splash screen appear... it connects to cms but then says "upgrading cms"... well I left it going all night and it never progressed past this. I checked that it wasn't norton blocking anything and run it as administrator, and installed again but to no avail. I also see that it has deleted 4.8 now so I can't even revert back. In terms of content all I have are a few things I manually imported into daz, would this cause a problem? I'm using windows 10 (32bit).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    It can take a while to convert, depending on how many items were in your database, but with only a few it should have been faster than that. However, running DS as administrator can cause major issues - particularly with folder and file permissions - if you meant that literally (right-click and run as administrator). 32 bit Windows is going to be limiting in itself, and you are goignt o find it hard to render much with only 2 or 3GB of available RAM, but you probably know that already.
