Add a Tesla card to quadro 4000

Have a Nvidia quadro 4000 2GB and sometimes when i do complicated detailed scenes the amount of memory on my GPU dont seem to be enough, experience the dragging on my parameter settings and its a mess when trying to use the handles in the viewport. Know thar turning of some of the elements in the scene helps but i am aiming for a smooth creating process without all the iritation that comes, when the problems described above appear. So i figured perhaps a Tesla C 2050 will help to collect all those Texture maps that the gpu store in its memory during a scene creation. There is 3 GB of extra memory on board my PC if i install a Tesla card. So i am wondering if anyone knows if a extra Tesla card will help in the scene creation process or do i need to buy a GPU with more memory available.

Have tried to find an answer to this question at Nvidias forum and i was adviced to contact the software company i mostly use for 3D scene creation, so here i am at Daz3d asking the same question.

Thanks in advance Anders

Aside from issues of navigation in the viewport, if you use or plan to use Iray for rendering, be aware that Iray 2016.3.x (Daz Studio 4.9.3.x) requires a Fermi-class card (minimum) and a recent driver; Quadro 4000 and Tesla-class cards are already not supported (by NVIDIA) in Iray. Iray 2017.x will require a Kepler-class card (minimum) and an even more current driver.
