Lilithai Strigoia and V4.2 - Trying to understand how to use this stuff, General V4.2 questions
Hey guys!
Not sure if this should be here or under the Commercial section, since it involves multiple products
Soooo, I now have this (and Volume 2 as well)
https://www.daz3d.com/the-lilithai-strigoia-bundle-volume-1
I'm new to Daz, so my experience is pretty much with using Genesis 2/3. Lilithai stuff is built for Victoria apparently, so I"ve loaded up Victoria 4.2, and so far have managed to get Lilithai's tattooed skin applied.
However, I have no idea how to get the clothing and everything else to work. I've tried doing so in the usual fashion (select figure, click product package and it gets applied), no dice. I've tried going the 'Surfaces Tab' route, selecting the surfaces and then applying it that way, no dice.
Usually, there's a 'green' Actor, Outfit, etc. that appears on top of the product thumnail so you can apply the product, but I'm not seeing any of that in my Content LIbrary thumbnails for this product.
I also tried applying the 'Barbarian' shape using a product thumbnail that appears in my Victoria 4.2/4.2Elite Content Library/Product subwindow, but that isn't doing anything either.
Since I"m 'post-Genesis', I don't know how things/accessories were applied in the 'old days'. How does this work, guys? What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you are going the right route - I have this bundle, let me check ...
Ok, let's see - textures to be found (as I think you have) under Poser formats, Pose, AK_SF Lilithai Strigoia. That contains a raft-load of stuff - MAT files for the character and clothing, etc., Morph INJections and so on. Now, to the actual clothing and stuff ... here you need to look in the same Poser format content, but under Figures, and (as I sort of expected) look for the one called AK_SF Lilithai Strigoia. Inside there you'll find the Outfit and Accessories. Apply the ones you want (with V4 seelcted in scene tab), and once you have done that, back to the Pose folder for the textures and stuff, selecting each itme in turn to apply it's texture to.
Just noticed the legs! You'll need to 'disappear' V4's legs for this, and best way is to use the !Prep V4 Legs.pz2 file (if you have the creature creator product), fouind under Poser format contnet, Pose, DAZ's Victoria 4, Add-Ons, Creature Creator
OK, I should have realized, this being a Poser sale item and everything, to look under the Poser submenu...
I'm golden (other than adjusting everything to fit right). Thanks!
Any suggestions r.e. the 'Barbarian' preset for V 4.2 and how to use it? I click on it and nothing happens, and I'm not seeing a morph slider labled Barbarian under Parameters...
Just FYI the Commercial forum is there for PAs (vendors) to advertise their products, we would not expect anyone who is not a Daz PA to post a thread there, and it anyone does it soon gets moved.
If that's Barbarian for V4 I don't have it so can't help there,sorry!
Back to Lilithoa a moment, it has it's own 'disappear legs' file
The Barbarain morph was part of a V 4.2 Muscle Morphs package, that was probably part of a bundle I grabbed. I also have "Olympian, Ripped, etc' as options under the V4 product category for that product.
I think I noticed the 'dissapear legs' thing, thanks for pointing it out.
Anyone know if morph injections can be transferred to Genesis via GenX2 (or the 'by hand' way?)
Ok, I was sure I had that (still in mid re-instal on a newisgh computer, and tracked them down as somethign I had yet to install!) so let us see what we can find ... using the INJ Muscles V4.pz2 file adds the Muscle option (which lists teh Barbarian morph, among others) under the Morpsh|Shapes option in the Shaping tab of the Posing pane.
"Anyone know if morph injections can be transferred to Genesis via GenX2"
Yes. You can either do the character, or just the morphs. I find that Childe of Fyre's GenX tutorial is my 'Go To' for that sort of thing.
Here's one of the Lilithai characters and textures on Genesis.
