Extremely long hair, anyone?

I need approximately ankle length hair and have not been able to fin anything closer than hip or waist-length. Anyone know where I can find some?

I'm working in Poser and almost about to break down and try the hair room again, from sheer desperation, even though I can kiss my computer goodbye for hours during the computation time. Sigh. Save me from that, please?

Since you're in Poser, depending on how much RAM you have, you might also try Mooch Tail, depending on what type of hair you need and what you want it to do.

(Mooch Tail + Studio 4.5 = badness. Much much badness.)

Does anyone happen to have Mitsu installed, it has a lengthen morph but I don't remember how long you can make the back of the hair. I would check but I don't have it installed atm and don't have the time right now. I will check back tomorrow and if there is no answer I will check. It's for A3 but I have used it on V4 with some tweaking.

Unmorphed length is lower back. BackLong puts it at mid-thigh. Creative mixing of other morphs (particularly the bend morphs) can put it down past the feet.

(Tested with the Genesis version based on techniques I developed a couple of years ago using the original.)

..have it but it is a real pain to work with especially with Gen4 characters or Genesis.

Still looking for a good long ponytail for my namesake that doesn't distort when lengthened to the knees and has some body to it.

Tried Neftis' Addition Hairstyle, Ultimate Changing Ponytail, A3 Ponytail, and Pure Hair Wild for Genesis and none can come close to what she has in the hand drawn pic below.

..the issue with the Neftis Addition tail is that when the "long" morph is pushed too far, the ends of the ponytail begin to distort badly.

But you can still use the braid updo with other hairstyles :)

Mooch looks interesting and will work (in my machine has the chops for it) for one of the characters. Looking more for loose hair. I can fake an extra long braid, which is the other thing I need. =D

I think I have the Mitsu hair, but the movement morphs suffer when you dial the hair that long, if I remember correctly. I'll go play with it JIC I'm remembering a different hair's issue.

Thanks for posting the pic. I don't use Genesis (or DS) much, as the interface for DS drives me insane. I've been a Poser user since first gen and can never find anything or make things work in DS, much to my frustration.

Wow, that was quick. I actually have the cytherea, I think, but I know I have several long braid hair products. It's the long flowing ones I was having trouble finding.

While you are looking, though, any idea what hair product was used in the Elspeth main image? http://www.daz3d.com/elspeth It's one of the best dread hair styles I've seen and I'd love to add it to my collection.

Have you looked at PhilC's Hair Designer? Looks like you could cross a Japanese updo with one of his ponytail pieces parented to the center of the bun and get something near what you are looking for.

Here at Daz, look at http://www.daz3d.com/sayuri-hair and http://www.daz3d.com/sayuri-expansion-pack . The second image in the expansion shows you the ponytail look. It may not be long enough, but again, you can mix and match a ponytail.

I've found that this sort of question is usually best directed to the product's creator... (looks at Elspeth) ... Mada and Thorne have a specialty webforum over at http://www.faeriewylde.com/ - you might get their attention there.

I tried that. Can't do that without being logged in and they are having difficulties with their login. I thought I was a member, but when I try to log on, it doesn't know me. *sigh* Oh well. Everyone was so helpful, I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. =D

    ...I actually have Sayuri Hair.

Just looked at the Hair Designer tool on PhilC's site and it looks a lot more complicated than I feel I am ready to tackle at this point since it would mean creating the ponytail part from scratch in the Poser Hair Room and rigging it for the movements I needed. Still somewhat a newbie at content creation and modelling (only made a few small props using primitives).

Thanks for checking Mitsu Murgatroyd. It's been awhile since I used it not sure why it's one of my favs), it's a shame it wasn't created just a bit longer.
