I work in windows 7 64 bits, I have DS4.5 last version. Since yesterday D become inactive suddenly, I see in windows services to be completely sure that this thing work, it is Ok but some minutes next the service stop. I close DS4.5, restart CMS, I see service and this works Ok, open DS4.5, categories in content panel work Ok and minutes after it again doesn't work, all thing in categories disappear, I revise service then it doesn't work..again.

Before this problem I was adding a folder to content library, next I use "scan known directories" but this stop in 22% I eliminate the folder in content library without problems. Hour after the problem begin. Any idea-advice-trick to repair this bothered thing?

Stop the CMS, then see if there is an extra set of databases in ProgramData -- if so, delete them, and restart CMS.

If that doesn't solve it, uninstall CMS, then reinstall DAZ Studio to force CMS to be reinstalled.

Thanks you for information. But I don't know what things must are in Programdata folder:

I saw in "C:\ProgramData\DAZ 3D\Content Management Service\databases" only this files:

    ContentDB.blb
    ContentDB.dat
    ContentDB.ind
    ContentDB.vdb
    and
    master.vdb

Make sure that Daz is not open, then stop the CMS and then go ahead and delete all those files so that you have just a blank folder and then go to your start menu and restart the CMS. When you open up Daz you should have no further issues with the CMS.

In deleting the files under "C:\ProgramData\DAZ 3D\Content Management Service" you are forcing Daz studio to reset the database like a hard reboot.
This is the only way that I can get it to work right again whenever the database becomes corrupted. It is a lot easier to do it this way.

Thank you very much KinnieM and fixmypcmike. My problem is solved. I erase databases. This also erase all my custom categories, but I had saved as products all categorized things, creating its metadata, so I only need reimport all metadata information to recover also my custom categories.

I don't quite understand this part. How do you do that?

Also, if you delete what's inside C:\ProgramData\DAZ 3D\Content Management Service doesn't the CMS have to reimport metadata anyway? Otherwise there is nothing, no? If it reimported metadata why wasn't your metadata created for custom categories imported as well.

I am soooo confused. I can't learn from videos and I have found nothing that shows me step-by-step how to create metadata for a product that has none. And Smart Content is not consistent especially regarding People-Figures-Presets-Characters. And installing puts some vendor names at the top level in both Smart Content and in the actual folders in My DAZ Content and there is no way I know of to fix it.
