Tiled materials in a cr2?

Just another quick material question. I'm making an outfit for V4, thought I would save a little time on the material textures and just use tiled textures for some zones. Well, okay, but the tiling info doesn't export out to the cr2 file. Is there a way to do that, or do I just need to make a jpg file manually? Only problem with that is it loses a lot of detail when scaled down, or it's going to be about a 26,000 pixel wide texture. I tiled it about 50 times each direction to look right, the tile is 512x512, so you do the math.

Try saving the shader as .mcz or .mc6 in the materials room if you are working in Poser or as a material (or shader) in DS and applying it later to the .cr2 in the scene. The tiling settings in the file should override the lack of tiling in the cr2.

I think the first obvious question is why do you need it so big? Unless you're doing extreme close-ups or crazy high-rez images at over 25kx25k pixels in dimension, it would be entirely superfluous to go have that much detail.

If it's simply a case of tiling the same image, then resize your image appropriately before tiling it so that you keep the right general look without going overboard on high resolution textures.

Well, you're right, I did some test renders, and I guess 50 tiles was a bit overkill. It looked right in the preview, but not in the render. So I went with 15. But it still seems that when I scale the tile down from 512 pixels to 137 (2048/15) I lose some detail.

First pic is one tile, second is 15x15, third is a jpg scaled down and pre-tiled.
