Freaky Sale: Which ones count as Freak 5 items for the free stuff?

The wording on the blurb is a little confusing. I tried adding one of the items that pop up as part of the Freak 5 items clicking the "Browse all Freak 5 items link", then added Hero's Stand (which supposedly has an additional 10%) and the supposedly free Axes of Power and Drop the Hammer (which the advert says are free) if you buy any Freak 5 item. When checking out, there's no additional discount and the free stuff aren't free.

Trying an experiment, I added one of the F5 bundles, and there the discounts applied and the free items applied the difference. So is it that the Ant farm discount on Hero's Stand and the Free stuff only for the Freak 5 base and Bundles (which isn't stated) and not "any Freak 5 item" as the advertisement says? Clarity in the advertisement would be appreciated.

    I bought the Horned Barbarian and the free Axes of Power and the credit appeared for the Axes, but it wasn't until the final step before confirming payment. Did you go that far?

    No, just as far as my paypal pulled up. But that's odd. The difference appeared in the Discount/Gift Check area when I added one of the Bundles, but not when any other F5 item was.

    I think the system needs to recognise that you have either bought or are buying freak 5. I managed to buy the axes with another freebie for no money. I didn't have any F5 items.

    Ah. That makes sense. It's not clear with how the ad shows it, though. The blurb owners and new buyers doesn't directly indicate you have to have the base F5 for it to get the free stuff since you get the benefit of the "Save on New Freak Stuff" without it .

    I bought Freak 5 a couple of weeks ago, so was intrigued if the freebies would work, and they did!
