The easiest way i found is by using DAZ History Manager from taosoft. It saves the history in a csv file and you can import that it into excell.

    Easy? No.

I ended up hand jamming mine - highlight cmd-c, cmd-v into textedit (to strip everything but the text) and then copied into excel.

Thanks anyway!! I did find how to get a spreadsheet out of the DIM in a discussion under DAZ Studio Software forum. I'm not sure how to link this reply to that page but just look for the questions from dbbarnett!!

Yes, the Export as CSV is a great option in DIM. I had copied my whole order history when the old store was still up as it appeared on one long page, and now I just keep it up-to-date every time I purchase something, but being able to get the exported CSV from DIM into Excel without too much trouble is a plus for new members who never had access to the old store.

I've tried both the DIM and Taosoft's Download Manager and History managers - I have more than 10,000 commercial products archived (almost 5,000 from DAZ alone) so I need the very fastest way to document, sort and organize my new purchases to integrate them with my older content. Over the years I have developed an extremely efficient system.

The short story is that I vastly prefer Taosoft's products because of their flexibility and ease of use for those of us who prefer to archive rather than install every new purchase. I can download to folders by date or order number and every product is given a folder to which IU can add the promo images. I then browse my files (sorted by type and theme) to come up with ideas and then install only the content I will use for a given project.

Once named, images added and then filed in the appropriate category of the archive the product never needs to be moved again and the archive never needs to be touched except to add new files. Everything is always instantly available. I keep the archive on two 4 TB drives (one internal and one external USB3) It took a long time to get all my older content converted to this system, but well worth it.

The Daz Install manager will simply not support this type of archive, not to mention integrating products from other vendors. It will only lead to a complete mess no matter how it works. I do suppose for a casual user it who does not get content elsewhere, it might be a good thing, but it is not a robust solution for serious users. Try Taosoft.

Anyone who knows his way around in the DOS prompt can also easily get a text file of all the downloaded/installed files in a particular folder and then just copy into an EXCEL spreadsheet. If you use the Wide Directory Switch, you get just the file names; i.e. to create a text file named filelist, you'd type dir /w > filelist

This doesn't pertain to getting order data per se, but could come in handy if someone wanted to keep track of downloaded/installed file names.
