Which Training Do You Recommend?

As a new user I'd like to find out which training has been helpful learning DS. All the training is on sale atm so I thought I might buy some.

    As a total beginer I would get all the FREE Dreamlight Tut's in the Tutorial section. They have good info for general use for any 3D rendering program.

    Yes, they're very good. But I was wondering whether to get something more advanced to do with animation. Maybe this:

    If you have not done Animation yet I recommend this one first then your pick second as a more in depth follow up.

    I guess it depends on what you want to do with the software...

    The one you linked to is by Dreamlight, the same vendor that created the free ones that Jaderail mentioned. I haven't heard any reviews of the 3D Animation Master product yet, but Dreamlight's training programs (free and otherwise) are generally well-regarded, from what I've heard and seen. If you're interested in animation and liked Dreamlight's free tutorials then 3D Animation Master might be a good choice for you (and keep in mind, there's a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you don't like it).

    I don't do any animation, but as a member of the Dreamlight Club (and moderator of the DLC forum), as well as owner of two of Dreamlight's Master Series (Model Master and Light Master) I can, as Scott mentioned, vouch for the quality of his training videos.

    That said, I would take Jaderail's suggestion to try the less expensive video product first and see if you like it before buying the more intensive/expensive product.

    If you're interested in doing that class I would sign up for his mailing list (warning he sends a lot of emails). He frequently has sales in his non-daz store. I think I saw that for about $30 a couple of months ago. And then there was the 21 for $150 at Christmas which was all of his classes plus all the sets.

    Thanks! I've signed up to the mailing list. I've bought the cheaper training videos for now. I'll wait until I've watched those before buying the more expensive ones.

    The Dreamlight series are very high quality, somewhat pricy but they are worth the money. Start by getting some of the free ones to see if his tutoring style fits you. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to tutoring.

    I think Geek at play studios has some free DS 4.5 tutorials as well, they also have some for Hexagon, and many other softwares, check that out (just google it).
