Creating morphs in Daz Studio 4.5

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

So I've been trying to figure out how to create morphs for clothes in Daz and I found this tutorial.
Everything goes well up until the point where I'm gonna spawn the morph, I select my object, which in this case is a top, check the 3 boxes under the spawn morph button and hit "spawn morph". I enter a name and hit ok, nothing happens, no popup asking if I want to delete the DFormer etc and if I go to Edit - Undo, the spawn morph history is not there, so it never happened.

I actually get the popup asking if I want to delete the DFormer if I select the hip joint of the top and spawn the morph, but if I do the morph itself is still nowhere to be found.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I guess that the method in the video is for Genesis and I use clothes for V4 fitted to the V4 character.

Is anyone familiar with this problem and could give me a hand?

Including a pic of how the Dformers are sitting in the "Top" group.

Thanks

Since DS4 and Genesis, the geometry is tied to the root of the item, not any of its subparts anymore. So in practice you have to spawn your D-Former with Top selected, not Hip.

That's exactly what i did, I meant that I first tried to spawn it with the Top selected and nothing happened at all, then I tried selecting different parts of the top and it still didn't work.

I do get a pop-up to assign a name to the morph if I try this on Kid4, but the Dform isn't deleted. However I can't seem to replicate your issue. According to my tests, props and Genesis correctly delete the Dform after creating the morph.

That's weird, well I resolved it by adding the DForm for the abdomen part of the Top and the spawning morph, that solved it.
