So I see the private beta is at version 1.0.1.13 while the public beta is stil at 1.0.0.112. So the question is, should I wait till an offical, non-beta release to download all my content, or is it safe to download it now? Win 7 64-bit in case it matters. Thanks!

Ah - this is DAZ you're talking about here. The difference between beta and released is that the one warns you it is beta, while the other does not. :cheese:

Having said that - how good is your internet connection? They're releasing updates of some content to fix DIM tagging errors and packaging errors, so some items will need to be downloaded more than once. Also, it looks like they went back to the V4 introduction and worked forward, followed by going back to the earliest items released - so the Gen3 base characters aren't in DIM yet (with the exception of Aiko 3).

So not everything is available by DIM (yet). Plugins aren't available yet. It only supports DAZ Studio and Poser content (so far).

The official non-beta may not occur until most (or all) of the 'not available' items have been included. In the meantime, it does wicked good at downloading and installing for Studio and Poser. Click one box, hit 'add to queue' and go away while everything downloads. Select one or a hundred (or more) items to install. Click 'Add to queue' - and watch the fun as they install. No double-click - click - click - click - click for each product.

I'd say it's worth trying out, at the very least.

Will the updated DIM know which files need to be downloaded again? Things like that are what concern me the most.

Yes! It checks for updates for you and gives you the option to download and install the updates just like the rest of the content. It'll show up as two sections in the DIM. Updates first, and new DIM ready content second.

Ahh! So DAZ will flag them as requiring updates even if they only changes are DIM specific. That makes sense. BTW, nice avatar Ameesa!
