Sector 15 - updated?

Just opened up my DIM to download some new products, and I noticed that "Sector 15" was in teh Product Updates section. I had only downloaded this last night through DIM (although I had purchased it long ago)

Does anyone know WHAT the update was? Anyone else find it updated in their DIM yet?

    Only items that you DL with DIM will show the Updates the next time you Open DIM. The original needs DLed before any Updates can be found for the products. No matter when the update was made. I hope this helps you understand the Update process a bit better.

    so the one i downloaded last night, could be the updated one anyway?

    Nope as I said the Original needs DL'ed before and DIM closed (it has a database). Then the Next use of DIM checks the Database for updates to that item.

    Some items do only send the latest UPdate on DL but not all as of yet.

    When you download with DIM you should always get the latest version, and once you have that (either the zip or the files installed) you will then be alerted for an update. But as you can see that doesn't tell you what the update is - merely that the zip has changed. Checking the readme, via the little i button, may tell you something.

    Hmm.. Okay I stand corrected, but I'm sure some of my older items installed the BASE then showed updates on the next boot of DIM.

    I haven't looked for Sector 15 in the docs wiki, but since DIM was released to beta, a ton of older products are showing up as updated where the update is described as "converted to DSON, updated metadata". So I suspect there is no real change to Sector 15.

    Did you save the previous zip? If so, you can unzip the old and new versions to dummy folders and compare them.

    I noticed when I first downloaded Sector 15 that there were 2 files, both of which were named exactly the same. There was no differentiation between Ps, DS, Legacy or whatever, and it stated the error in the log file. It probably was reported on the Bug Tracker and the update was probably the fix so the 2 files aren't named the same.

    Also, when I opened both of the original downloads, I noticed that one had all the files, and the second one only had a manifest.dsx file. That was also probably reported, thereby prompting an update of that second file.
