Render Settings -> Advanced -> Hardware

Hi
Can anyone tell me what the settings in the image below do? I was really hoping that some combination of these would let me set iRay to render in the viewport as I made changes and that the UI would stay fast and responsive. However, after playing around with these settmigs they don't seem to make any difference in performance.
I love the way that you can render in the backgroud but clicking on any of the controls (say to rotate the scene) is very jerky and sometimes doesn't respond at all. Octane has a render priority slider which allows you to specify whether the render or the responsiveness of the UI during rendering should be given priority. I think it uses the GPU cores to render and you can allocate a certain number of those to drive the UI and if you set the UI to have the priority evrything works smoothly even while rendering. Is there such a setting buried deep with DAZ Studio and if not, are there any plans to develop it?
thanks
