Turn Maddie's CupcakeDress into beautiful WhisperingPetals Outfit

Is there anybody out there who calls her own the Cupcake outfit + the nice add-on “Whispering petals”, that changes the base appearance completely?
I succeeded only one or two times by accident to change the top, the shorts and the socks into the far more beautiful add-on outfit.
I know, that I first have to put on the base clothes and then go to choose the “WhispPet-mats” (by the way: why are there two different folders “SF_PS WhispPet” and “SF_PS WhispPetP4”??). But when doing this, the base piece disappears and there’s only the frilly seam left!

I tried and tried all combinations because I’ve saved one successfull attempt in the beginning and so there must be a way. But I can’t find it.

I take it you're using DAZ Studio?

The problem is the material (pose) files are setup for use in poser, and poser handles transparency slightly different...
It works with no problem in poser, but in DS you have to make some manual adjustments....
Below an example for the CC top

Select the top in your scene amd Go to the 'Surfaces' Tab
    Select the material named 'Top'
go to 'Opacity Strenght field and left click with your mouse on the little image
from the pop-up menu select 'None'
and voila, the texture is visible

repeat this for any other problem material.......
    (I hope this helps......)

BTW, the 'P4' files are for use with poser 4........

Thank you so much, dear glaseye! I didn't believe you understood the problem but I tried nevertheless - and it worked! I'm still wondering how I managed it one day surely without this procedure ...

Oh, no problem; I understood the problem allright  (got the same problem myself) but explaining the solution, well, that's something different (and it probably didn't help that English is not my native lanquage).

    Glad to hear it worked.
