Kind of bad news there

Does Daz still use Zen Desk for it's help?

    Thanks for the warning.
At those times I'm sort of happy I don't have any of social thing accounts.

I kind of wonder what information Zendesk has access to from the various accounts.

E-mail addresses, mostly. I don't think Zendesk has any access to actual passwords or more sensitive information, but I'm not sure.

That does seem like bad news, and yes, DAZ still uses Zendesk.

But it sounds like only three of Zendesk's customers were affected, and none of them were DAZ. (OTOH, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest are pretty big customers!)

Well...that's probably why the attempt was made. Getting all, even if it isn't a lot of info, that info was still a big 'score'. And 'live' email addresses are a valuable commodity in the area of the internet those slimeballs operate in...

OTOH, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinerest used Zendesk as their help. From what I gather account names are certainly gathered. If the help questions involved payment problems (like here at Daz) I imagine Zendesk did have access to resolving payment problems (credit card information). I think some of Zendesk's smaller customers weren't mentioned in the article. Certainly Daz is nowhere near as big or as high a volume of traffic as any of the others.

Zendesk would not have access to any CC info. Even DAZ 3D CS has no access to any CC info.
