    No idea I'm afraid.

I just reinstalled them anyway, I must be a trusting soul :) I didn't notice any differences yet anyway.

I think you are right, everything seems much easier to find now, and the Parameters pane seems to have a lot more entries which are better categorised. I am sure there will be a thread on what was changed eventually.

Thanks to the DIM it is now has become quite easy to keep track on updates.

In theory one can even click on the symbol to the left with an "i" that links directly to the

    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me

of the product. It seems some staff members make a habit to now actualy add notes to the readme what updates were made.
Unfortunately this is not always the case.

I noticed that quite a lot of shapes for Genesis have been updated
    V4, M4, A4, F4, S4, V3, M3

also some Genesis Evolution morphs and Ethnicity morphs and many other products.

    See attached screenshot.

Unfortunately the read_me were not updated what with any information what was changed.

The last entry for all updates was 2012-08-01 Updated morph regions for DAZ Studio 4.5.
What could now have possibly needed to be updated again?

Those shapes are quite important and I really would like to know what was updated before downloading and installing them.

Did anyone read anything in any thread what exactly now was updated with all those shapes?

They may be duf conversions or metedata updates

Yes! Finally! Maybe this means that ALL of the Evolutionary morphs will appear in the Shaping tab again! :_)

I do believe they do. All mine seem too now.

...aww carp! Don't tell me I have to reset all my DLs, download and install these all over again?

It's getting to the point I' feel like I'm doing more content maintenance than actually creating anything with it.

According to the various readmes in the docs wiki, most of what happened for the Shapes and Evoloution morphs was "Updated DSON file format" or "Updated DSON file version". Morph regions were updated last August and November. I would imagine that unless you are using DSON and Poser, you probably don't need to care. I think.

Here's a question: how do I get IM to show me what products have updates available? All it shows me is what products I've purchased. There's no subcategory for Product Updates in my listing.

For products you have purchased AND which were installed by the Install Manager, when you first go into the program, there will be a separate section on the "Ready to Download" tab that appears only when a product has been updated, when you've purchased and then installed with DIM.

    Is that what you're asking?

Until the DIM settles down and all products are accounted for it's hard to tell what the requirement is for getting updates. I was under the impression though that merely having downloaded was enough--not necessary to have installed as well.

Currently I have items in the Update section that have never even been downloaded. I think we'll need some official response on the matter.

DIM can detect updates either by looking at the actual zip, if you haven't installed, or by looking at the details in the install manifest, even if the zip is deleted, as I understand it.

Anyone, know if the shapes actually have been updated? I reset some of the shape in the products and I'm not showing any newer versions f you go by the installer version number. So I'm wondering fif they got updated with no version number change.
