Search housefly, cockroach or larva freebies

Hello,

I'm searching 3d mesh of housefly, cockroach, larva and other sickening insect. Do you know some freebies ? (I already have Cicada)

The good news is, they are available. I have nice little zoo of insects but the bad news is that I really don't know where I got them. :-(

I am pretty sure that they were not gotten through DAZ. It was one of the Poser sites and most of them were free but they may have been free only temporarily.

However, I don't think I have any larvae.

RawArt => Thanks for the link, i already had bought fly and wasp (i don't remenber that was on daz shop), so i'm searching for more detailled housefly or other type of housefly, or some disguting insect (i saw bees but bees are not enought disguting ^^)

I think that the ones LeatherGryphon mentioned were from Content Paradise... about two summers ago they gave away a bunch of older animal models for a couple of weeks and it was a limited time deal... I don't think there was a grub though... there was a fly and cockroach and a bunch of other insects... they might not work too well in DAZ Studio without a bit of tinkering... I don't remember why, but I vaguely recall someone being disappointed about that.
I used the cockroach a while ago... here is what it looks like more or less.

Yeah, it was probably Content Paradise. I seem to have a "CP_" prepended to the downloaded zips for all of them. I tested all of them at the time and they worked OK, but that was with DAZ Studio3 or possibibly even Studio2. 8-o

The insects were originally weekly freebies created for eFrontier back when they owned Poser. IIRC, most of the free animals were created by Sixus 1. DS was still in the late beta stages when most of them were created and their material settings are designed for Poser 6 and up. I'm not sure if all have texture maps or if some user procedural shaders from the Poser materials room.

All should work in DS as they have the legacy Poser rigging rather than the newer P8 or P9 WM rigging.

Surface settings in DS will probably need tweaking for setting like specular, ect.

SMS acquired them when the acquired Poser and CP.

If you don't mind using a conversion program (tons of free ones out there), you can find quite a few arthropodic freebies over at the 3Darchive. Of course, since you're converting them from 3DS objects, that means they aren't posable.

Cybersox => already possess all, except maggot for horror poses, which is very usefull !

Spit => Saw the fly model, lack a bit of detail, i take it anyway.

Opal => I tried this for other item in the past, could be good, but sometime difficult to adapte to Daz (and without move morphs), i think i will try with Daz first.

hoverflies (whoever designed this messed up because it has the head of a fly-- it would work as a hoverfly if it had two wings instead of four.
